Kitchen Wishes…

This week something amazing happened!  It has been a dream of mine for eons and it’s finally coming true!

My parents’ ugly and dysfunctional 70′s kitchen, complete with the original gold range hood, got ripped out in preparation for a beautiful new space complete with built-in cupboards in our former dining room.  It will now be our everyday gathering and eating area.  The cats are going to love it too cause they will now be able to use the new granite countertop to get to door of their cat enclosure.

And for my mom, it will be her late night napping destination over a half-empty bowl of cereal and the newspaper!  Complete with snoring!

Here’s what I’d like someday in my own dream kitchen.  Sigh.

Everything’s Coming Up Roses

Aren’t these just gorgeous?  Almost too beautiful to eat.  Almost…

After a summer of laziness I am renewing my vows with my blog.  I promise to love and cherish it, in sickness and in health, for richer (no poorer allowed), until new branding do us part.  

I have moved into the buttercream frosting light and have left nutrition behind.  And wow, does it feel good to finally embrace my one true love! 

Here’s what I have planned:

1.  Unique online baking and cake decorating supplies shop.  Plus irresistible cakestands, tablewares, packaging, stationery, aprons and more… (If you’re in Canada, why pay shipping and duty from the U.S. when you can get it here?)

2.  Pretty new web site and blog focused on anything and everything cake, pie, cupcake or cookie!  Delicious recipes using only the finest ingredients and decorating instructions for the most adorable creations.

3.  Cupcake and cookie decorating classes and intensives (multi-day), pie-making classes, jam and jelly classes and more.  Both online and hands-on at some of Niagaras’ finest inns and hotels.  (all with spas!)

4.  Baking, cupcake and cake decorating guided travel excursions to destinations in the U.S., Europe and the Caribbean.  People bake and decorate cakes just about everywhere on earth!

5.  Anything and everything else sweet I can imagine and create.

 Life will be a piece of cake in 2012.  I hope you’ll join me!
